There are many, many reasons why learning a new language is a good idea. You're saying this doesn't happen in a clean profile, so I assume this quick tab switching does not cause the same issue as the third example? I'll try to reproduce it here but not sure I'm even quick enough to reproduce your fast tab switching.Meaning of Soundmixer in Tagalog language is: sound taong magaling makisama. But once again you switch tabs before it's even finished loading.Ī theory might be that your quick tab switching before the tab is finished and actually starts playback is that Vivaldi then fails to register any audio playback from this tab. Third option - This one I can see might be an issue as the second tab should play audio. I don't understand why you need to quickly switch the tab before the second is even finished loading. Second option - once again you very quickly switch to the first tab and start a video there. Maybe it's supposed to lower the volume of the other tabs, not sure. I'm actually not sure what the "prioritise active" means compared to "only in active". I had a look at the video, things I noted:įirst option - you quickly change back to the first tab before the second (video) tab is fully loaded. Just disable them all, restart Vivaldi and try to reproduce. So first try with no extensions at the very least. So if it works as expected in a clean profile, I would recommend you consider doing a profile reset, but I understand it might be a big ask. The reason we recommend to always test in a clean (or guest) profile is to exclude any settings or (more likely) extensions interfering, or even the (very rare) possibility of something else having gone "corrupted" in the settings.
I once again apologize for the said in Constantly needing to adjust Vivaldi's volume settings in windows audio mixer:įrom my tests I found that the issue didnt happen anymore on a fresh account. Thank you for taking time in looking into this issue and for trying out the steps I shared. I am however going to record a video illustrating the steps I shared in my previous response and post it in the appropriate thread if need be. Should I move my concerns on my first thread? I've not experienced the issue with adjusting the volume level through the audio mixer (at least since my last reply). You're definitely right that my first post in this thread is not related to how I tried regenerating the issue. I was trying to approach the issue with how I first generated the problem with audio settings in the first place which was by toggling stuff in the Mute Tab Audio settings. Funnily enough when I dont set the setting to "Prioritize Audio For Active Tab" it sometimes doesnt play audio even for my active tab unless I unmute I deeply apologize for the confusion and for the late reply. I also tried the same experiment on my main account but for my main account's case it was always not playing audio in the inactive tab even though I have the Play All Audio setting selected.
Perform same experiment but this time sometimes the audio plays for the inactive tab, sometimes it doesnt.
I then switch the setting back to Play All Audio.I do the same experiment (open one video on current tab, play on another) music only plays for current tab.I then change the settings for Mute Tab Audio from Play All Audio to Play Only Active Tab.I open a video on the current tab music plays, I then open another video on another both play at the same time.Without messing with the Mute Tab Audio setting first I go to YouTube.Tried with a new profile by exiting current user and adding a new profile.Hello I just finished the short test and this is what I did:
